High Volume Sand Storage
High volume sand storage is APPCO's solution for massive storage and load out of bulk materials such as frac-sand and other oil field materials.
Terminals are available in varying sizes and configurations.
APPCO Storage Silos
- Bolt together design for shipping purposes
- Each with water level volume of 11,850 c.f.
- 5/16” x 50 degree cone bottom
- 12” air operated discharge gate
- Four column substructure, properly ” X “ braced
- Approximate weight per silo 80,000 lbs.
- Truck clearance from top of concrete driveway (EL. 100’ 0”), to bottom of discharge gate, will be 16’-0”. (El. 116’-0”) Silo Pier elevations 3’-0” (El. 103’-0”)
- Silo complex includes handrails around perimeter of each silo
- Service platform for valves crossover platform
- Two Roto Bindicators per silo (one bin high, one bin low)
- One heavy duty belt and bucket elevator
- Electric drive motor with torque arm speed reducer
- Elevator casing 1/4” plate construction
- Caged access ladder to roof, and 2nd caged ladder to decked maintenance platform at Elevator head section, discharge chute to turnchute, and elevator supports as required
- Elevator system includes a four- or six-position motorized-distributor-turnhead
- Limit switches in dust tight enclosure
- NEMA 12 remote control boxes
- Turnchute support structure with four (4) 16” chutes to designated silos
- Service platform with handrails as required
